Hello, Andrew. Today I started working my way through your podcast series. Thanks for creating it. In this fourth episode, when you introduced the double-L sound, the example word sounded like “paella”. I may have misheard the spelling and pronunciation. But I don’t recognize that word and neither does Google Translate apparently. So, what word is that exactly? Thanks!
-Michael
Andrew Barr says
Hola Michael, ‘paella’ is a rice dish from Spain. Try putting it into Google Search or Wikipedia.

Andrew – I’m enjoying working through your podcasts. Regarding paella, I was recently in Barcelona and enjoyed some wonderful paella. What a tasty dish. My wife is going to try and make it this coming week!

Thanks for the comment Mark. Yes, I love Paella too! Hopefully, your version at home is just as good! 🙂
